Woody is born, from a log |

Last Summer, Jason created a 9' 6" surf board from 60 year old knotty pine boards, that were given to him by a friend. The scene that he painted on the board, was inspired by a local surf break at Point Cartwright, located on the Sunshine Coast in Australia, where he grew up. All the board needed now, was an owner. When Jason was offered a 3..5 thousand pound red oak log, he broke out the wood carving tools, and Woody was born.
An avid and skilled surfer himself, this project was especially fun. Woody stands 6' 5" tall, and he is wearing a pair of Hawaiin print board shorts. On the lower right hand corner is a white square, all Woody needs now, is a sponsor name to fill the space. Woody is firmly secured, standing in Jasons front yard, overlooking the garden and staring out, watching for the next big one. |
