| Dimity Stoyle ready to take on World Champ ! |
![]() Dimity Stoyle (Sunshine Coast, QLD/AUS) took out the Moskova Trials on the Gold Coast yesterday in the pouring rain. Stoyle earnt herself a coveted spot in the main draw of the Roxy Pro Gold Coast. The Quiksilver and Roxy Pro has a lay day today and when competion resumes Stoyle will be matching up against reigning ASP Women's World Champion Stephanie Gilmore in Round 1.Dimity Stoyle's win was one of determination with fellow Australian Nikki Van Dijk building a solid lead early in the final. With six minutes remaining the 21 year-old Sunshine Coast surfer paddled into a clean and long peeling ride that allowed her to execute numerous powerful turns which culminated in a final close-out re-entry. Stoyle required an 8.01 and got the score easily with an 8.65 to take the win.Photo ASP. |

| Sunshine Coast Surfer Dimity Stoyle claims victory ! |
![]() Sunshine Coast surfer Dimity Stoyle has claimed her first professional event win at the ASP 6-Star rated 2013 Hunter Ports Women's Classic today over ASP Women's World No. 2 Sally Fitzgibbons (Sth Coast, NSW/AUS). Stoyle surfed strong and smart, only catching two waves in the Final, but two waves was all she needed after laying down some serious snaps and carves. Stoyle kept repeating "I can't believe it!" as her two good friends Sally Fitzgibbons and Philippa Anderson chaired her up the beach.Photo ASP |
